To help destigmatise mental health, we would like you to put a resource together that would help both a person with a mental illness and their family understand what it means to have a mental illness (specific to the illness you choose to de-stigmatise) and how people with a mental illness can be supported and kept safe.
Assessment Tasks: 1. Theory Component – Due Week 7 Term 1

You are to present your findings as a written report 700-800 words, or as a 5 -6 minute oral presentation. You may work individually or in a group of no more than 3 people.
As part of this unit you will be participating in a variety of physical activities designed to help people cope with mental illness. In groups of 2 to 4 you will be required to plan and run a class demonstration on a physical activity of your choice, designed to help mental health sufferers.
